to my project. I found myself in a bit of a rut in my photography and neglecting to take photos of my own children (the cobbler's children without shoes syndrome). So while taking maternity leave this year, I decided to stretch myself and take time to document my own family. Enjoy the journey with me...
So you use a soft filter, a really wide lens, just aperture or a little help from photoshop to get that amazing shallow depth of field in your images? Also your lighting is ethereal, I can never quite get that...how do you do it?!
Aw, thank you! This one was done with my macro lens, although I usually use my 50mm 1.4, which has a very shallow dof...I don't use a soft filter or wide lens, and I love backlighting. Hope that helps! ;)
Always looking for new things to try and new ideas to do it better. You shoot portraits with a straight 50mm, too? Interesting. And the "ah-ha!" backlighting moment! Thanks for sharing your secrets :)
