Welcome

to my project. I found myself in a bit of a rut in my photography and neglecting to take photos of my own children (the cobbler's children without shoes syndrome). So while taking maternity leave this year, I decided to stretch myself and take time to document my own family. Enjoy the journey with me...

The baby is two months old today. Unreal. The oldest was sick all weekend, and it turned into croup in the middle of the night. So after feeding the baby, I was up with him between the steamy bathroom and cold night air, all the while he kept telling me, "I'm tired. I want to go to bed. I don't want to go outside. It's cold." Then I stayed in his bed for a while just because I was worried. When his croupy cough turned into just a cough, I was able to go back to bed. And today we're sitting around at home so he doesn't get any other kids sick, and I'm trying to keep him from kissing his baby brother every five minutes so I don't have an infant with croup.

Which is why my baby is two months old in the time it seems I blinked - life doesn't slow down for you.
